How does it work? Summer Spanish camp groups consist of small groups of rising first through fourth graders. We meet for two hours per day for one week. Classes will be held at my house in Fairfax. During class time, we focus on receptive language (listening) and language production (speaking). There is a heavy emphasis on reading and writing in Spanish and children will be expected to select simple books to take home and practice reading aloud between classes. Each class also typically involves a short math game, and we also will work on poetry and songs. Depending on the enrollment numbers, there may be an assistant working with the children as well.
